Neurotechnologija Ltd. partner with Lenovo Group Ltd. to Deliver Facial Recognition Software Suite for User Authentication.
Vilnius, Lithuania, February 2, 2006 : Neurotechnologija Ltd., a leading provider of core biometric algorithms, announced today that its VeriLook facial recognition engine was chosen by Lenovo, a global leader in the Personal Computer industry to develop a software suite for PC user authentication.
Using the current and integrated hardware such as a web camera or camera on PC, it's easy and convenient to deploy facial recognition technology cost-effectively.
Lenovo is the number one PC company in China and one of the top three PC companies in the world after it has acquired the IBM's Personal Computing Division in early 2005. Lenovo has long been interested in biometric technologies as a dimension for its product innovation. The cooperation with Neurotechnologija on a facial recognition technology is one of its innovation drives in using biometrics. The technology will be applied to Lenovo's (Tianyi/Xuri/Zhaoyang) notebooks in China.

Lenovo will soon release the software suite based on VeriLook algorithm and install on their high end models of laptop which has camera as standard hardware configuration. It will be a strong push to the promotion and popularization of the facial recognition technology.
