NOTICE	FingerCell 2.0 EDK, a kit for Embedded Fingerprint Recognition Systems, is newly released. The FingerCell 2.0 algorithm is intended to achieve faster image processing and feature extraction when used in low-power/low CPU-power devices. It can be used for both 1:1 matching and 1:many (1:N) identification, and can match up to 700 fingerprints per second. The technology is fully tolerant to fingerprint translation, rotation and deformation, and can recognize a fingerprint from a small portion of it. The newest version of algorithm features enhanced reliability compared to the previous FingerCell 1.2. The FRR for FingerCell 2.0 algorithm is 20% - 50% lower than for the FingerCell 1.2 on the same FAR. FingerCell 2.0 EDK is intended for embedded application developers and could be used for developing access control, time and attendance control, device security and other applications. FingerCell EDK includes samples for iPAQ Pocket PC h5500 series devices with integrated fingerprint sensors. It offers FingerCell 2.0 EDK on a 30 day trial. The downloadable trial kit allows developers to explore the technology and to try it in real environments and real applications.
